BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1979 in Zagreb. In 2004 she graduated ethnology and English language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and in the same year started postgraduate studies at the department of comparative literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Currently writing her PhD thesis titled Travel Writing and Ethnography – Contemporary Foreign Travel Writing on Croatia.
In 2006 and 2007 did volunteer work and shortly worked as an administrative assistant at the Department of Ethnology at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Since July 2007 works as junior research assistant at the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology on the project Ethnologic Database as the source of knowledge on ethnic and national identities, under the supervision of professor Branko Đaković.
Since 2007 assists dr. Tomislav Pletenac on his courses Ethnographies of Popular Culture and Cultures of Postsocialism, and since 2013 assists and teaches courses Anthropology and Travel and Ethnocultural Overview of the World.
Member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Studia ethnolgica Croatica. Member of the Croatian Ethnological Society.
Her scientific interests encompass the history and theory of sociocultural anthropology and ethnology; the history of field research; cultures of travel and travel writing; historical anthropology.
