Course description: This course introduces students to independent analysis of linguistic issues and helps them to develop scientific and critical way of thinking.

Learning outcomes: Students will be able to: carry out a literature search and use online databases; select information and critically evaluate the relevance of the text; properly conceptualize academic work, define the goal, set and argue the thesis, use the academic writing style; make a scientific bibliography and scientific notes; apply the principles of academic ethics; argue the critical opinion based on linguistic texts; design, prepare and hold a presentation in front of the audience.

Teaching methods: teaching through lectures, exercises and teacher-led demonstrations in the classroom, presentations, classroom discussion, E-Learning (Omega, etc.)

Literature: It will be determined according to given content.

Evaluation Methods and Grading: class attendance, seminar paper, practical work
