Course: Fundamentals of Literary Interpretation ECTS credits: 4 Language: German Duration: one semester Status: obligatory Course type: 2 hours of lectures Enrolment requirements: none Course description: Students extend their knowledge on literary genres, types and forms and learn the concepts and methods needed for the analysis and interpretation of lyric, epic and drama texts. Learning outcomes: Students will be able to: recognise, explain and use the basic critical apparatus of the literary science and basic notions of literary criticism in the analysis of literary works, name, distinguish and define literary types, forms and genres in the German language, name, distinguish and use basic analytical notions in the analysis of evocative narrative and drama texts; apply critical apparatus and basic knowledge on literary stylistic forms in the analysis of literary works.
