Course description: This course offers an introduction to rhetoric. Apart from theoretical knowledge, its objective is to develop critical analysis of speech as a specific text type as well as to apply the principles of classical rhetoric in communicative situations.

Learning outcomes: Students will be able to recognise function and structure of specific text types and apply particular writing and presentation skills.

Teaching methods: lecture, presentations, classroom discussion, practical work
