Course description: The course covers following topics: de Saussure (selected chapters), Hjelmslev and the Glossematics, the Prague linguistic school.

Learning outcomes: Students will be able to: interpret the fundamentals of the structuralist theory, explain and use the appropriate terminology and the appropriate categories

Teaching methods: teaching through lectures, classroom discussion
