History curricula and textbooks in Bosnia and Hercegovina

UNESCO in co-operation with the Georg-Eckert-Institute for International Textbook Research is organising a conference on "History curricula and textbooks in Bosnia and Hercegovina", focussing on perspectives and problems of current history curricula and textbooks. The participants will work on concrete themes and discuss new approaches for the development of history curricula and for the presentation of controversial and shared elements in the history textbooks in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Participants will be university professors, history teachers, textbook authors, and curriculum experts. As the seminar is organized within the framework of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, experts from other parts of Europe, international organisations and research institutes will also be invited to participate.
