The Graduate Programme in Dutch Studies is open to all students with a bachelor's degree in humanities or social scences who have a command of Dutch at the C2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students should also have a command of the English language in order to be able to read the scholarly literature and follow the lectures given by guest lecturers. In the Graduate Programme in Dutch Studies students will obtain: a high communicative competence in Dutch, cultural competence for a deeper understanding of various aspects of Dutch culture, general academic skills, including the ability to read relevant scholarly literature and write academic essays. After finishing the programme students can work in various professional fields and projects related to the Netherlands and Belgium in sectors such as tourism, international trade, administration, translation, and the media.
