Blackboard is a Web-based Learning Management System. The Blackboard LMS allows staff to make a wide range of module materials available on-line. Materials may include module guides, lecture notes, overheads and even sound and video clips, though the module leader determines the level of content. The module leader may enable a variety of other tools and these include online discussion forums (bulletin boards), a virtual classroom and a drop box (online submission of coursework).
