Ivana Petric Lasnik (b. in 1979 in Novo mesto, Slovenia) graduated Slovene languages and literature and pedagogy in 2004 at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana. Since July 2004 she has been employed in the Centre for Slovene as a Second/Foreign Language, first as an expert associate of the examination centre, then in various lectorships for Slovene language at universities worldwide. From September 2005 to August 2010 she worked at University of Nottingham and University College London, and since September 2010 she has been working as a lector for Slovene at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. She is a collaborator on projects that promote Slovene language and culture (the so-called World Festival Projects) organized by the Centre for Slovene as a Second/Foreign Language, as well as those that advance instruction of Slovene as a foreign language (in terms of preparing new materials for instruction).
